The Thunder Hamsters have found the way to the fabled Temple of Cheese. They work together to get there and then race into the temple to liberate the five holey cheeses. The one who brings out the most treasure wins but along the way they work together against traps, guards, and unexpected magic. .

Each turn player move their hero into the temple to have encounters. Maybe they find a trap they have to avoid, or guards they must fight, but they might also find magic treasure or even cheese! Thunder Hamsters is different from other games because players resolve encounters by making up short stories about what happens. They can say what the magic ring does, or how they are too fat to fall in hole traps. Another player decides how likely an action is to happen so players need to be entertaining. .

Some people are intimidated by all this story telling and judging. Don’t be concerned! Making up what a magic carpet does is as easy as saying “It flies!” And deciding how likely an action is to happen can be as little as “It sounds okay to me!” once you get use to it, making things up becomes second nature. You’ll find yourself doing in all the game you play. .
